Plants

I need plants in my studio.

They’ve been on my mind for three years now — which is ironic, because I care so little about them.

Don’t get me wrong, I love seeing plants grow. Beautiful gardens, full of shapes, smells, and colours. But if you give me one, it will die.

Flowers in a vase know their destiny. I look at them, they look at me, and I can almost hear them say: Please change the water.
And I don’t. Not out of rebellion — just indifference. Then they die, slowly turning into something I should probably deal with… but don’t.

If it’s a living plant, the process just takes longer. The outcome is the same.

Cactus, though — that I respect. Minimal needs, strong boundaries. You give it water, and anything beyond that feels like crossing a line.

Still, plants make a space feel better. More alive. More complete. And I know I need that in my studio.

So now the question is —
am I a plant person, or a dried-flowers person?
It’s already dead… so it can’t die twice, right?
